The Family Self Sufficiency Program is again available through FCHA.
THE PURPOSE OF THE FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY PROGRAM
To provide case management to Section 8 Tenants. The FSS Case Manager may connect the family with private and/ or public resources that enable them to:
- Continue or obtain education
- Enter job training program
- Locate childcare
- Arrange transportation
- Develop a budget
- Homeownership preparation.To assist tenants in obtaining educational, employment, business and/or social skills necessary to achieve self-sufficiency within a 5-year period.THE FSS PROGRAM IS VOLUNTARY.
