The ROSS Program provides a variety of training programs and supportive services to assist eligible residents to become economically self-sufficient.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
All residents age 18 or older of J. Watson Sembower, Bierer Wood Acres, East View Terrace, Crossland, South Hills, Snowden Terrace and Gibson Terrace are eligible for the program.
The ROSS program provides access to:
- Training and increasing skills
- Resources needed for gaining better employment opportunities
- Job development, business development, driver’s training
- Related aids to improving earning power
Through partnership with Fayette County Community Action Agency and Goodwill Industries the following services are available for ROSS program participants:
- Driver's Training
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification Program
- Homeownership Counseling
- Employment/Job Readiness Skills Training
- Resident Business Training
- Individual Development Account (Family Savings Account)
- Basic Skills and Computer Skill Classes
- Custodial and Lawn Maintenance Training
